Woman tries to find boy who took wind chimes and left a heartbreaking note
TACOMA, Washington (FOX 26) - A woman in Washington is trying to track down a boy who took the wind chimes off her porch and left a heartbreaking apology note on her door.
A boy only identified as “Jake” left $5 and a note saying he took the wind chimes because they reminded him of his mother who passed away.
“I am sorry that we stold your windchime. Our mom died and liked butterflies so my sister took it to put by our window. I am sorry. This is only money I have please do not be mad at us,” the note said.
The woman shared the note on Facebook and had a message for him in return.
“Well Jake, I not sure who you are but you can come get your money back sweetie. I had 3 of those windchimes you can come back get your money back and have 1 also so both of you have your own. I am not mad please come over to my house,” she wrote on Facebook.
The woman is hoping to track him down to return Jake’s money and make sure him and his sister have something to remember their mom by.
