Woman charged with boyfriend's fatal shooting at Willowbrook Mall

Investigators say a woman has been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of her boyfriend outside Willowbrook Mall in NW Houston. Detectives say the suspect, Emily Rose Orbe, 32, has been charged with murder in the 339th State District Court. 

Investigators say that they responded to a call that was originally made as a robbery, but then discovered that a domestic dispute had taken place between a boyfriend and girlfriend.  Detectives say that the fight started inside Willowbrook mall. Police were first notified by a mall security officer who was actually an off-duty HPD officer working an extra job.  He had noticed the couple arguing.

The shooting occurred near Highway 249 in northwest Houston at approximately 8:25 p.m.

Police say the man and woman were in a relationship and believe the shooting began as a domestic dispute.
