Senator Ted Cruz unloaded on Democrats as the "party of hate", and Cruz believes the conduct of Democratic senators in the Kavanaugh affair may have actually boosted his bid for re-election.
Cruz says Judge Brett Kavanaugh's family and reputation have been needlessly "dragged through the mud" as part of a cynical strategy to delay his confirmation. The senator added that he's hearing from Texas mothers fearful their sons will now be targeted in the future
