The national transportation safety board is now investigating the deadly HISD bus crash. Police say yesterday morning, A car, driven by a teacher, struck the bus, causing it crash through the guardrail on the 610- loop overpass at telephone road and fall to the road below. Two students died. The bus driver, along with two other students are in the hospital.

 

Police are hoping surveillance video will reveal who shot and killed a man and wounded another in north Houston. Officers tell us a man pulled a gun and shot two men in the parking lot of the gulf gas station on Yale near Delz. One died at the hospital last night, the other was shot in the foot.

 

Arson is investigating a house fire in northwest Harris County. Just before four this morning, a neighbor heard an explosion and then saw fire coming from a home on snow bridge and Grandberry gate. A man inside the home escaped. The Harris county fire marshal is using an arson dog to find chemicals and accelerants.

 

Next month, Texas rangers plan to present their findings in the investigation of the Sandra Bland arrest to a grand jury. The panel will decide whether criminal charges should be filed in the case. Bland committed suicide in the Waller county jail back in July. Bland's family disagrees with that finding.
