Teen dies after contracting brain-eating amoeba

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - A teen who qualified for the Junior Olympics has died several days after he contracted a brain-eating amoeba. The boy was diagnosed with primary amoebic meningoencephalitis following a jump into a Sam Houston State Park lake.
