Six-year-old shot and killed in apartment complex

Preliminary reports say a child was shot in the Alief area on Thursday evening. Harris County Sheriff's Department is investigating the shooting. It happened around 7 p.m. on the 6300 block of Sierra Blanca. The six-year-old boy was said to have been taken by life flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital. According to HCSO, the shots appear to have come from an adjacent apartment. At least three men have been taken in for questioning. This story is developing. Details will be updated as we learn more.
