No heart surgeries at CHI St. Luke's Health for 2 weeks

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - In a video message posted to the CHI St. Luke’s Health Facebook and Twitter accounts, Doug Lawson, chief executive officer of Catholic Health Initiatives Texas Division, announced that the health care provider will be placing its heart transplant surgery program on a voluntary 14-day inactive status to "complete a thorough medical review and recruit additional surgical and clinical expertise." The move follows two recent heart transplant deaths, according to the posted video.
