Murder suspect due in court this morning

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - A 26-year-old suspect is expected to make a first court appearance this morning to face a capital murder charge.

Police believe he's responsible for gunning down a teen pizza shop worker 2-1/2 weeks ago, after a failed attempted robbery

Investigators believe Taylor came in armed with a semi-automatic pistol and forced the victim, 19-year-old Peter Melke to open the cash register.

Police say they were able to crack the case when a tip came in last Thursday, the same day CrimeStoppers held a press conference to increase the reward money.
