Around 7:30 p.m., the Montgomery County sheriff released an update on X that the scene had been secured.
The shooter is now in custody, he said. The public is still urged to avoid the area.

What we know:
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says the scene is at a home near Nottingham Road, close to Cambridge and Galaxy Boulevards.
Officials said in their later press conference that two people were injured in the shooting. One was identified as a 17-year-old male, but no other identifying details were released. Several other people said they believed they were shot at, but none were hit.
The suspect, a 60-year-old man, surrendered to officers about an hour after the incident began. Officials said at least one victim was found to be the suspect's neighbor, and they think some sort of disturbance between them led up to the shooting.
Police found two long guns in the suspect's home after the shooting, though the scene was still being processed as of 9 p.m. Saturday.
No law enforcement officers were injured in the incident.
