Details are limited as it's an active investigation, but according to the Houston Police Department, it happened in the 3900 block of Old Spanish Trail near Scott St. just minutes away from the University of Houston and Texas Southern University.

Initial signs suggest it happened around 10 a.m. and maybe drug-related. The shooter fled the scene before officers arrived.
