League City twins star in musical,"Waitress" coming to Hobby Center

The Tony-nominated musical, "Waitress" is coming soon to the Hobby Center debuting January 29-February 3, 2019. Five-year old twins from League City have been cast to play "Lulu."  Avery and Quinn Preddy along with their mom, Julianne shared their story about the show and their audition with FOX 26's Melissa Wilson and Sally MacDonald.

"Waitress" tells the story of Jenna, an expert pie baker working at a local diner and stuck in a loveless marriage. Her salvation comes in the form of her daughter, "Lulu." Tickets for the star-studded production start at $35. "I loved that it's about a mother and how she feels about her daughter," said Julianne about the musical, "Waitress."

The audition was held at the Hobby Center on November 5, 2018. 60 girls auditioned in front of members of the "Waitress" company. The character is cast locally in each tour market and two girls are chosen to share the role. each girl cast will perform in 4 performances during the engagement. 

Avery and Quinn are identical twins, who are in kindergarten at Bauerschlag elementary school. They love to sing and dance and have taken dance lessons for three years.  Both are now taking piano lessons and gymnastics. Quinn loves Chewbacca and Avery loves Yoda from Star Wars as well as singing duets from "Wicked" and "The Greatest Showman."

The twins also delightfully weighed in about the musical. "What's Waitress about?" "It's about pies!" said Avery.  When they were asked about their favorite pies, Avery answered Apple and Quinn chose Chocolate!
