Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl Halftime Show memorable for performers

Some college students are on Cloud 9 after getting the opportunity to perform in the big Super Bowl Halftime show.

College students perform alongside Kendrick Lamar, Sza

The backstory:

These girls are college students at Xavier University in New Orleans. Several are from Houston, and they couldn't talk about it before now. They had to keep it a secret, but they actually performed last night along with Kendrick Lamar and Sza at the Super Bowl half-time show.

"It was hard not to tell anybody," smiles Joiya Keith, who danced in the Super Bowl Half-Time Show.

"I really wanted to tell all my friends and family and post about it everywhere," adds fellow dancer Melody Daniels.

What they're saying:

"I met Samuel Jackson. He was really cool, down to earth. He introduced himself. I met Sza. She was really cool. It was just a cool experience. "It was surreal. When we were running through the tunnel, we heard screams.  We were waving at everybody. Serena Williams was in front of me practicing her dance. It was insane," says Joiya, who can be seen yelling "Alright Serena" in a video she took with Serena Williams practicing her dance just steps away.

"Being able to be in the presence of the L.A. dancers and Kendrick and Sza, seeing Samuel Jackson right in front of me was definitely surreal," Melody adds.

"During rehearsals we had to lock up our phones because it was confidential. So I was like this is the moment I get to record. Everybody was screaming," Joiya explains.

So, was it everything they thought it would be?

"Yes, everything and more," smiles Melody.

"If I could rate it on a scale from 1 to 10, I would rate it a 100 out of 10. I was just talking to my dad the other day, and he said, wow what a freshman year. This is my freshman year of college. I get to perform at the Super Bowl," Joiya shouts.

"We've been doing rehearsals for weeks but going onto the field yesterday and looking out and seeing everybody in the stands it was very magical," says Melody.

After three weeks of secret rehearsals and a major 15-minute performance alongside two superstars, the girls are left with one priceless memory that will last a lifetime.
