Investor Sid Bass named Blue Bell Creameries partner
Blue Bell recalls 3oz ice cream cups
Prominent Texas-based business investor Sid Richardson Bass will serve as a partner with the Blue Bell Creameries company, based on a statement released on Tuesday.
“We are pleased Sid Bass has made a significant investment with our company. The additional capital will ensure the successful return of our ice cream to the market and our loyal customers,” said Paul Kruse, president and chief executive officer of Blue Bell.
Bass, a graduate of Yale University and Stanford Graduate School of Business, is active in family-based oil and gas and carbon black businesses. He has managed long-term investments and worked closely with management teams throughout his career, including The Walt Disney Company.
