HPD searching for fugitive near U of H

Jorge Santana-Trujillo, 30 years old, was arrested for violation of probation.

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Houston police are searching for an escaped inmate.

Police say Jorge Santana-Trujillo, 30, escaped a transport van Monday morning after slipping out of his handcuffs.

Santana-Trujillo was in custody for a felony fugitive warrant.

Officers are searching the area of Scott Street and Leeland near the University of Houston.
