Houston weather tonight, tomorrow: Bitterly cold night ahead Tuesday, low 40s expected Wednesday

Tonight:

Mostly clear and very cold with a hard freeze likely and temperatures dipping to the upper teens to low 20s. Many roads, especially bridges and overpasses, will be iced over, so avoid travel if possible.

Wednesday:

Hard freeze likely with temperatures near 20 early Wednesday and many Icy roads. Temperatures should climb to near 43 Wednesday afternoon along with abundant sunshine.  This should help to melt most of the remaining snow and ice.

Thursday-Sunday:

Gradually getting warmer with temperatures back in the 60s and 70s this weekend. Isolated rain returns Saturday along with a chance for storms Sunday.
