Houston Fire Dept battles fire in southwest Houston

The Houston Fire Department is battling a fire at town homes in southwest Houston.

Firefighters were called to the scene on the 5900-block of Valley Forge near Fountain View shortly after 3:00 Thursday afternoon.

There are no injuries reported at this time. But there is extensive damage to the homes.

It began as a 1-alarm fire and quickly grew to a 3-alarm fire.

Traffic in the area of Valley Forge and Fountain View will be restricted.

HFD Arson Bureau is investigating the fire.
