HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Harris County Deputies Organization President Bob Goerlitz talks with Sally MacDonald about  Deputy Darren Goforth and support the Goforth family.

This is the first officer shooting in the Houston area since 2012 and cold blooded assassination aspect of this attack has deeply effected area law enforcement officers. 

Mr Goerlitz knew Deputy Goforth and recalls him as "one of those guys you wanted with you"; "dedicated, honest, always goes by the book," .

He also speaks about the Goforth family and the support they will need and receive.
