Former Texans Cheerleaders open up ahead of auditions
HOUSTON (TX) - Auditions for the 2016 Texans Cheerleaders begin April 1st. Dancers have the chance to try for a spot in the NFL spotlight.
In 2016, a lawsuit filed by an NFL cheerleader from San Francisco claimed the National Football League severely under paid dancers across the country. Between game days, charity events, and appearance obligations, professional cheer is accused of being a lot of work for not enough money. In fact, Texans Cheer tryout FAQ's list it as a requirement to hold a second job or be a student.
Why go through it all? Reporter Kaitlin Monte asked a few former Texans girls. Watch to see what they had to say.
