It’s happening again -- Blue Bell Ice Cream is voluntarily recalling two flavors of its ice cream due to possible Listeria contamination. But this time, the problem appears to be with a supplier.

The company announced Wednesday a recall of half gallons of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Cookie Two Step and pints of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

The recalled ice creams were produced in at Blue Bell’s Alabama plant. Blue Bell says the chocolate chip cookie dough ingredients that were supplied by a third party supplier, Aspen Hills, Inc., may be contaminated with Listeria. They were distributed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

Listeria bacteria can cause serious illness, especially in older adults, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems.

The recalled products can be identified by the code date found on the bottom of the carton. Anyone that purchased a recalled product should not eat them and should return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

This recall covers the following products:

Blue Bell had to pull all of its products off the shelves for nearly four months in 2015 after a Listeria outbreak killed three people in the United States. Investigators found Listeria contamination at Blue Bell factories. The ice cream returned to store shelves last fall in a gradual rollout across Texas and the southern U.S.

The State of Texas announced in July it would fine Blue Bell $850,000 for the Listeria outbreak.
