Houston weekend weather

More Records Broken:
Record highs were set again on Thursday with a high of 83 in Houston, 77 for Galveston and 85 in College Station, which broke a 135-year-old record.
We came close to Houston's record high on Friday of 86 set back in 2017 but didn't quite reach it.
Expect two more very warm days with highs in the low to mid 80s Saturday and Super Bowl Sunday.

Changes For Super Sunday:
A cold front will get closer, but isn't expected to make it as far south as the Houston area, so the main effects will be a better chance for spotty showers and afternoon temperatures that should be a few degrees less warm - mostly cloudy with highs near 80.

Big Changes Next Week:
Showers and storms are much more likely by Tuesday and Wednesday with some heavy rain possible. The rain will also hold temperatures in the 60s and 70s, followed by a possible arrival of chilly air by Thursday. Lows could drop back into the 40s.
