Houston weather: Warming up this week then another arctic blast possible
HOUSTON - Houston will experience seasonal January temperatures through Thursday with highs near 60.
Warmer weather arrives by Friday and Saturday with highs near 70. There are a few chances for rain Wednesday, and Friday into Saturday.

Timeline:
- Tuesday — Thursday: Temperatures will be near average for this time of year. Skies remain mostly dry with a few showers Wednesday.
- Friday & Saturday: Temperatures rise to near 70 on Friday ahead of our next front. Rain chances are at 30% late Friday into Saturday with the front sweeping through by Saturday.
- Sunday: For the Houston Marathon, temperatures will be cooler, waking up to the 40s with highs in the 50s. It will be breezy also with a northerly breeze of 10-15 mph.
