Houston weather: More than 100 passengers stranded at Bush Airport overnight
HOUSTON - Dozens of people were left stranded at Houston's Bush Airport overnight due to the weather.
108 passengers stranded at Bush Airport
What they're saying:
Flight operations at Bush and Hobby were suspended starting at midnight Tuesday due to the snow and ice.
Some people who were attempting to fly out of Bush were stuck once the clock struck midnight.
Houston Airports say 108 passengers were stranded at IAH overnight.
21 fliers were in Terminal A.
The rest were United Airlines passengers in Terminals C and E.
Though flights are grounded, crews are working at Bush Airport to continue flying as soon as conditions allow it.
Houston Airports to reopen Wednesday
On Tuesday afternoon, FOX 26 confirmed that both Hobby and Bush airports will reopen on Wednesday.
TSA lines will open at 9 a.m., arrivals will start landing at 10 a.m. and departures will take off starting at 11 a.m.
United offers assistance to fliers
What they're saying:
"We're working with our customers who are impacted by the planned airport closures in Houston and have waivers in place for cities that are preparing for winter weather. Customers should visit united.com to check their flight status and view the latest information," said United in a statement.
