There's still a little action in the tropics with one tropical wave south of Barbados and Tropical Depression #12 in the far eastern Atlantic. T.D. #12 is struggling to survive and will likely become a remnant low over the next day or so. The tropical wave is set to push into the eastern Caribbean and brush by Venezuela as it tracks west. It will likely make landfall Sunday around Nicaragua in Central America.

Temperatures and humidity will continue to creep up as we head toward the weekend, but a weak front arrives just in time to put a halt to that. Aside from an increase in cloud cover, though... don't count on it bringing us any rain. Next best shot at rain looks to arrive middle of next week. Nothing is headed our way in the tropics, but NHC is monitoring TD-12 and Invest 91-L in the Atlantic.

Our pattern of dry, pleasant days will continue this week with morning lows in the 60s and highs in the upper 80s and some low 90s. You may notice some high cirrus clouds in the sky today and tomorrow - those are blowing off of Hurricane Orlene which is hitting the Pacific coast of Mexico and will have no other effects on our area. Otherwise, we'll monitor a tropical disturbance in the Atlantic that could get a bit strong as it heads toward the Caribbean this week, but is unlikely to affect Texas.
