Late on Friday and into the weekend rain returns to Southeast Texas. Heavy rainfall is possible on Saturday and Sunday with several more inches of rain possible. Today should be the last dry day for a while because beginning Wednesday, we should enter an unsettled pattern bringing off and on showers through the weekend and early next week. Total accumulations could range from 2-5" overall. In fact, isolated hefty downpours are possible as early as tomorrow. Temperature-wise, jacket weather will continue today with a back and forth of cool to chilly air for the next week. So far, no freezing or near-freezing weather is expected in the greater Houston area.
