Isolated and scattered storms again for Wednesday and Thursday across Houston. Look for things to start drying out over the weekend. The temperatures will also start to climb on Saturday and Sunday. Be ready for heat indices to reach 105-110. Be safe in the heat!

Some of us waking up to heavy rain this morning, but the majority of the activity has since shifted into the Gulf of Mexico. While we'll still carry a rain chance today, it's likely the showers that form will be more isolated. Temps will warm into the upper 80s this afternoon with warmer weather expected by the weekend. Until then, the rain threat will stick around through Friday.

A weak front from the north and sea breeze from the Gulf will run into each other tonight and that could be enough for strong to severe storms to develop. Strong downdraft winds would be the first concern along with downpours so stay alert. It looks a bit soggy over the next few days.

It is muggy out there today! Feels-like temperatures already soaring into the upper 90s this morning with mostly dry weather expected this morning into the afternoon. A few storms may pop when the sea breeze kicks in today. Things, however, will quickly change this evening, mainly after sunset, when a cold front moves in from the north ramping up our rain chances. Storms will be likely after 7PM areawide with heavy rain and gusty winds appearing to be the main threats. Those rain chances will remain high through Thursday with on and off rain likely. It appears, though, we will dry out and warm up by the weekend.

Look for more rain this week, with heavier rainfall possible Tuesday morning through Wednesday night. A front will stall Monday into Tuesday and storms will focus along the front. Heavy rain in local spots where storms stall could produce local street flooding and some spots could see 3-4?+ in some areas. Heavy rain again possible Wednesday and begins to dwindle towards the end of the week. By next weekend, get ready for a more summer-like pattern as high pressure nears for the following week. Temps into the mid 90?s and heat indices in the 100-105� range next Saturday and Sunday!

We're off to a mild and muggy start on this Sunday with a few coastal showers that should weaken throughout the morning. More showers, even a stray storm, could form as the sea breeze kicks in later this afternoon, but rain chances will remain relatively low today at about 30%. Rain chances increase next week, especially Tuesday through Thursday as a front approaches the area, but never quite makes it through the region. Periods of heavy rain will be possible, but drier weather filters in on Friday and Saturday. Highs should reach the mid 90s today and low 90s beginning Monday.

A muggy start to our Friday with only isolated showers around this morning. Showers and storms will likely expand later today, but remain widely scattered. A few of the storms could drop some heavy rain along with frequent lightning. Rain should diminish by this evening, but due to the rain we'll likely see highs only reach the low 90s. Plenty of dry time expected this weekend although we'll still carry rain chances as our diurnally driven storms remain part of the forecast for the next several days.

The forecast looks consistent over the next week with a daily chance for mainly afternoon downpours and highs in the 90s. At least we can count on the timing of the rain and that it will mostly disappear by the evening hours. If we didn?t have the showers it would be a lot hotter, so that?s something to think about.
