It's another day without any heat alerts thanks to our slightly lower humidity. But the temperatures are hot enough and it's about to get hotter! Look for isolated rain & thunder through early evening and again Friday PM. Saharan dust remains in the area but our air quality remains in the moderate category. That means most of you should not be affected since we are not at the unhealthy level. Rain chances drop to 10% Saturday and go away completely Sunday and Monday. The heat dome will push closer to us this weekend and intensify causing another stretch of triple digits temperatures. In fact, heat advisories are likely to return by Sunday and Monday. So get ready for more dangerous heat and make sure to download our FOX 26 WX App to keep track of any heat alerts!

Tropical Weather Forecast - July 26, 2023
The tropical wave near the Bahamas and the other wave in the eastern Caribbean ran into some unfavorable conditions and are no longer being monitored for development. However, a tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic is not expected to develop over the next two days. But this wave has a 30% chance to become a tropical depression, storm or hurricane over the next week as it moves west. Saharan dust in the Atlantic is limiting development. But outside of the dust, water temperatures are very warm and that will act as fuel for future systems.
