The other is still far out in the Eastern Atlantic which gives us several days to watch it. The next two names on the list are Francine and Gordon. The peak of hurricane season is September 10.

Models are hinting that a weak disturbance could develop in the Gulf next week. That would mean more waves of moisture heading our way. So it definitely looks like our rain chances will be going up for most of next week. In the Pacific, Tropical Storm Hone could impact the big island of Hawaii this weekend, but hurricane Gilma is not expected to be a threat for now.
