Dash serve as role models as US goes through change

HOUSTON - As the women's empowerment movement takes hold, opening day and the season takes on a new meaning for the Houston Dash.
 

The Dash are pioneers in what is still a new league. The NWSL is in just its sixth season, while the Dash will compete in their fifth season in 2018.

Women and young girls in the city can be inspired by a team of strong female role models, something the sports world needs more of.

The Dash will open their season on Sunday, March 25, against Chicago at BBVA Compass Stadium.
