BFND: Cy-Fair beats Westlake 14-6 to advance to first state title game
HOUSTON - The Cy-Fair Bobcats won a defense slug fest, beating Austin Westlake 14-6 to advance to their first ever state championship game.
Cameron Arnold threw two touchdown passes, while Erick Hallett came up big on both sides of the ball. Hallett intercepted a pass and later extended Cy-Fair's lead with a 30 yard touchdown catch.
The Bobcats defense held Austin Westlake to just 213 total yards, six points, and forced three turnovers.
Cy-Fair will face Midway in the 6A, Division 2 state title game next Saturday.
