WATCH: Marine father surprises son at school

A marine returning home from his 7th deployment surprised his son at school on Wednesday.

North Carolina middle school student Andrew Navarro Jr. thought he was being interviewed about his favorite fitness activity, which is doing pushups. His dad, Gunnery Sergeant Andrew Navarro, taught him how to do them.

Little did he know, his dad, who had been serving in eastern Europe, planned to sneak up behind him during the interview and surprise him.

After six months apart, the reunion was very emotional.
