You have the opportunity to honor the Harris county deputy who was executed while pumping gas at a gas station in cypress.  Cross Bridge Christian church to begin a 10-hour walk around the perimeter of zip code 77095 in northwest Houston. The suspect Shannon J. Miles is being held without bond on a capitol murder charge after the district attorney described surveillance video showing the suspect firing the first of 15 rounds into Goforth's head and back.

            In 2012, Miles was found mentally incompetent after being charged following a fight at a homeless shelter.

Controversy in San Antonio after video was obtained by a TV station there appearing to show a man with his hands up fatally shot by deputies. The Bexar county sheriff's office says Gilbert Flores died after the shooting Friday. The deputies are on administrative leave.


Authorities in Thailand have arrested a man they believe is the main suspect in a bombing at a shrine in central Bangkok two weeks ago that killed 20 people.

            Thailand’s prime minister says the man is a foreigner and was arrested in eastern Thailand near the Cambodian border.

Monsoon storms in the phoenix area have knocked out power to thousands of people, slowing air travel, and causing flash flooding. Phoenix sky harbor international airport says a terminal roof was damaged. Fire officials say crews responded to more than 400 calls for stranded drivers.
