HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Investigators in southwest Houston are sifting through clues after a double shooting that left one person dead.  One woman was shot last night at around nine o'clock on beechnut. And a man was found dead inside a house.

            $12,000 was discovered inside the home so cops think this case may be drug-related.

In north Harris County the search is on for the bad guys who busted in to this meat market in humble. The attempted smash and grab burglary with a stolen van happened at around 3:30 this morning along 1960 near Foxbrick.

            The suspects didn't get away with anything, but caused a lot of damage before running off.

Investigators say they have their suspect involved in a nasty crash in La Porte. Detectives say the man was so intoxicated with drugs that he couldn't show up in probable cause court. The arrest comes after a dramatic crash involving two vehicles this week after a car went over an overpass on highway 225 eastbound at highway 146. 

Some Florida students will be heading back to class today after being involved in a bus crash .Their bus ended up submerged in a pond near Tampa. The students were going to an elementary campus. Rescue workers got all the children out. There were no reports of serious injuries.
