Texas City shooting leads to discovery of drugs, cash

TEXAS CITY, Texas - Texas City police say a shooting that left two men injured led to the discovery of more than $400,000 worth of narcotics.

What we know:
The shooting occurred at a home in the 400 block of 20th Avenue North on Friday.
Officers were called to the hospital around 7:50 p.m. about two 24-year-old men who had been shot.
The men were identified as Thomas Lackey from Baytown and Christian Watson from Texas City.
What we don't know:
No suspects have been identified in the shooting. Police also have not released a description of anyone they are looking for.
Shooting leads to drug bust
Police say a search of the home where the shooting occurred led to the discovery of cash and illegal substances.

- approximately 3,121 grams of psilocybin (mushrooms)
- 496 grams of THC gummies
- 20,077 grams of marijuana
- 1,000 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- 26 grams of crack cocaine
- 197 grams of powder cocaine
- 1,437 units of LSD
- 826 THC vape units
- marijuana moon rocks
- THC wax products
- various pills
Police estimate the drugs to have a street value of more than $400,000.
