Take it to Akin: Woman says she's not receiving major mail from USPS

Despite increased use of email, many consumers rely on the U.S. Postal Service for their mail.

And when one FOX 26 viewer couldn't get the USPS to deliver her mail, she Took it to Akin.

Linda Reed said the problem began about a year and a half ago. She claimed her mail delivery was spotty, at best.

"I'm not getting any of my major mail that I need," Linda said.

She said sometimes her mail was delivered to a business down the street.

Or days would pass without a delivery, only to get a whole bunch of mail at once.

"Maybe it's 10-11 days wrapped up in one big rubber band," she explained.

She said she contacted a supervisor, but when the problem wasn't solved she took it to Akin.  We then reached out to the Postal Service.

The next day, Reed said USPS delivered a stack of more than 60 pieces of mail.

She says supervisors then arrived to check out the situation.

Local USPS managers said they have communicated with Reed to offer an apology and to work on an acceptable solution where the mail checked and delivered regularly.
