COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Sources tell the Associated Press that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is expected to suspend his 2016 GOP presidential campaign. Gov. Christie has canceled an event in South Carolina on the heels of his disappointing finish in the New Hampshire GOP primary. South Carolina is the next primary on the GOP calendar. Christie told a crowd of supporters in New Hampshire last night that he was headed home to New Jersey to "take a deep breath" and assess what comes next.
The Washington Times is reporting that Christie will suspend his campaign on Wednesday.
