Powerful video of an Army vet’s frustrating attempt to make a VA appointment has gone viral and prompted Congress to act.
When Dennis Magnasco called his local VA hospital in Massachusetts, he found himself stuck on the phone for nearly five minutes, greeted by an endless slew of automated messages.
Magnasco is a district representative for Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA), a fellow Iraq War veteran who says he has also experienced this firsthand.
That’s why Moulton is pushing out a bill called the Faster Care for Veterans Act, an 18-month pilot program that would allow veterans to make appointments directly on their phones.
