Security officer shot in leg in southwest Houston

Houston police officers are investigating after a security officer was shot in the leg in the 5700 block of Glenmont.

According to police, initial reports indicate the shot was fired from a passing vehicle. Investigators do not know if the security officer was targeted or if it was random.
