Some of Houston’s poorest and most vulnerable residents are suing the government over bad living conditions.
The Arbor Court Apartments are right next to Greens Bayou in Greenspoint. They flooded in 2016 and again during Harvey. Residents say they have to deal with mold and constant maintenance problems.
On the Factor to talk about this is an attorney representing the resident in their lawsuit, Velimir Rasic of Lone Star Legal Aid, and a woman who lives at Arbor Court, Daija Jackson.
We reached out to Arbor Court and they are not commenting. The federal government says because this is active litigation, they are not commenting as well.
