Resident witnesses shooting on West Airport Boulevard in Houston

Houston police are looking for a man who they say shot and killed another man. It happened around 10 p.m. on Saturday at the Airport Crossing apartments in southwest Houston.

"I can’t see any reason somebody would want to kill somebody," said David Miller, who witnessed the shooting firsthand.

A normal night of dog walking took a terrifying turn for David Miller. The resident at the Airport Crossing apartments said a stranger approached him and complimented his pet, but minutes later he witnessed that same stranger get shot and killed.

"As we got down about 100 yards, this guy comes running up and pulls a gun and shoots him three times," said Miller.

Houston police said four people pulled up in a vehicle and approached the victim. Two were inside the vehicle and two were outside, but chaos erupted between two of the men when the victim walked up to their car.

"We know there was an adult male individual here engaged in some type of disturbance here," said Lueitenant Riley, of the Houston Police Department.

Miller recalled where the random stranger was shot.

"Here about where that bump is at, and stuff on the ground. That’s where the guy that got shot and ended up lying, dying on the ground right there," said Miller.

The police have not released a description of the suspect, but Miller said he got a glimpse of the shooter.

"He had a mask on, a scarf that covered his nose, so the only thing you could see were his eyes," said Miller. "I really just hope they catch the guy who did it and crime will get better in Houston."

Houston police said they are still looking for the four people involved in the shooting.
