Police issue warning as Pokemon Go takes over Houston

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Hundreds of people came together this afternoon at Discovery Green Park to play Pokemon Go.

Many, just a week ago, didn’t know one another. The game is now taking the country by storm.

But police are warning people playing it to be vigilant with their safety.

“Never play it while you’re driving. Always be aware of your surroundings,” said Alan Rosen, Constable of Harris County Precinct One.

“Just like any other game, like baseball or football, have a confined area and be safe,” said Rosen.
