New Guinness World Record set for hoverboard flight
SAUSSET-LES-PINS, Marseille - The Flyboard Air inventor Frank Zapata set the record Saturday in France, riding his hoverboard over 7,388 feet, smashing the previous record of 905 feet, set by Omni Hoverboard inventor Catalin Alexandru Duru.
Here's video from Zapata Racing, posted to YouTube on Saturday:
In our previous story, we embedded an earlier video of Zapata on a hoverboard floating above a body of water. It can supposedly reach at maximum height of 10,000 feet and has enough power for a 10-minute flight.
