METRO to run on modified schedule Wednesday

HOUSTON - The Metro Transit Authority of Harris County will be up and running on Wednesday after shutting down on Tuesday.

Is METRO running today in Houston?

What we know:

After the winter storm on Tuesday, METRO will run a modified service on Wednesday.

METRO says the core local bus routes will be operational by 1 p.m.

Several began transportation at 10 a.m.

Routes 2, 6, 8, 11, 14, 20, 26, 28, 38, 40, 44, 50, 52, 54, 56, 63, 65, 73, 80, 82, 85, 89, 102 and 137 are back up and running.

Other routes will be brought back as resources and conditions allow.

METRORail will operate with modified service as conditions allow.

The Purple Line is currently

METRO Park & Ride will not operate.

What we don't know:

The plans could change depending on road and weather conditions.
