The Harris County Precinct One Constable's Office is getting new body armor made specifically to protect its K9 officers LeMans, Bax, Edo, Lethal, Stori and Edge.

All six of those K9 officers now have bullet and stab protective vests, thanks to a charitable donation from the non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9's.

The vests are embroidered with messages that pay tribute to officers who died in the line of duty. Each vest has a value between about $1,800 to $2,200.
