Hundreds attend protests at Discovery Green and Bush Airport
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Houstonians upset over President Trump's newly enacted refugee policy made their displeasure known at two big protests Sunday.
Police estimate about a thousand protesters chanted and waived signs outside of George R Brown Convention Center while thousands attended the NFL Experience.
No arrests were made police said, and HPD didn't have to add more resources for the peaceful protest.
There were some tense moments during a 3-hour protest Sunday night at Terminal E at Bush Intercontinental Airport.
Police estimated about 800 people attended that protest, which did have a few tense moments.
Police say they had to separate some protesters but made no arrests.
A handful of attorneys including Geoff Hoffman were at the airport giving free legal advice to passengers who got caught up in the president's controversial immigration ban.
