Houston closures: Businesses, offices closed on Wednesday due to winter weather
HOUSTON - Some businesses and government services remain closed on Wednesday after a winter storm brought snow and icy roads to Houston.
Houston school closures
Dozens of school districts will remain closed on Wednesday or will start late. Houston ISD, Humble ISD, Spring ISD and Tomball ISD are among the districts who have canceled classes.

"Harris County jury service cancellation and District Court docket resets extended through Wednesday, Jan. 22
Jury service at the Harris County Jury Assembly, 1201 Congress Street, downtown Houston, is canceled and the Harris County District Courts—Civil, Criminal, Family, and Juvenile—are resetting dockets scheduled for Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Magistrate, warrant, and ancillary courts will remain operational. Summoned and Empaneled Jurors: Those summoned on Wednesday, Jan. 22 do not need to appear or reschedule. If you are an empaneled juror for a specific court, please contact your court directly for questions or concerns.

Harris Health Clinics
"Due to the likelihood of hazardous roadway conditions remaining in the Houston area overnight from today’s winter storm, Harris Health is extending the closure of its Ambulatory Care Services’ (outpatient and clinic) facilities through Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, and will resume normal operating hours Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025. Patients with appointments have been notified of the extended closures and will be contacted about rescheduling options.
Reminder: Harris Health hospitals—Ben Taub and Lyndon B. Johnson—will remain open and maintain emergency medical services throughout the storm. However, visitation is being limited to one visitor per patient through this weather event to ensure adequate parking availability and to reserve resources for patients in need of care.
