Houston shooting: Rodesha Smith, Clint Gillespie charged with capital murder of teen

HOUSTON - Two teens have been charged in the death of another teen who was shot and killed in southeast Houston in January.
According to Houston police, Rodesha Smith, 17, and Clint L. Gillespie, 19, have both been charged with capital murder in the death of 18-year-old Tony Maximus Delao.

The backstory:
According to police, Delao was shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 9800 block of Hollock Street, just west of I-45, around 2:20 p.m. on Jan. 20.
Police say he then managed to drive to another nearby apartment complex on Intervale Street, where someone called 911.

Police and paramedics responded to the scene, and they pronounced him dead.
Smith and Gillespie were charged on Tuesday. Police say Smith was already in custody on an unrelated charge, and officers arrested Gillespie on Wednesday.
