Houston crash: 2-year-old child killed in auto-pedestrian crash on Thursday
HOUSTON - An investigation is underway after a 2-year-old was killed in an auto-pedestrian crash on Thursday morning.
Houston police said the incident occurred at 3901 West Fuqua Street just after 10:30 a.m.

According to the report, a female was pushing a stroller, with her 2-year-old grandson in the crosswalk when the two were struck by a silver Chevrolet Silverado 2500 pickup truck that was turning left onto Fuqua Street from a stop sign on Bathurst Drive.
Paramedics took the child and woman to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center.

The child was pronounced dead at the hospital, officials said. The 64-year-old woman had minor injuries and is listed in stable condition.
Authorities said the driver of the Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck remained at the scene. He did not show signs of intoxication, was questioned, and later released.
Officials stated a preliminary investigation revealed the driver failed to yield the right of way to pedestrians in a crosswalk.
No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
