Harris County man shot outside bar, crashed into apartment gate

A man was shot outside a bar and crashed into an apartment gate in northwest Harris County after leaving the scene in his truck.

What we know:

Harris County Sheriff's Office authorities were called to 5650 Timber Creek Place Drive early Wednesday morning.

A man with multiple gunshot wounds had crashed his truck into the gate of his apartment complex, officials said.

Sergeant Robert Wade reports the man was at a bar at 5406 State Highway 6 and there was a disturbance inside. Owners of the bar and patrons attempted to remove someone and the incident was moved outside the bar.

At some point, a shooting occurred and the man was shot, Sgt. Wade said. He got into his vehicle to leave the scene until he crashed outside the apartment.

The male was taken to Memorial Hermann in critical but stable condition. Sgt. Wade last reported the man in surgery.

Harris County law enforcement have placed the shooter in custody.

What we don't know:

The identity of the alleged shooter is unknown.
