Harris County crime: Suspect apprehended after carjacking, pursuit
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - A suspect has been apprehended following a carjacking in Harris County on Wednesday.
What we know:
Officials said it all started as a carjacking at gunpoint on Greenhouse at Clay.
Authorities said the suspect fled the scene in a woman's vehicle.
Soon after, authorities located the stolen vehicle and a brief pursuit occurred.
Authorities stated the suspect then struck another vehicle and came to a stop at the entrance ramp of SH-99 and Clay Road, about two miles from the initial scene.

Officials said they also found a female shot in the vehicle. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but is now being transferred by Lifeflight in critical condition.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said it is possible the suspect went to his ex-girlfriend’s home during a brief time between the carjacking and pursuit. The woman ended up in the vehicle, and authorities believe the suspect may have shot her when she attempted to jump out.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office has been called out to investigate the incident.
What we don't know:
The connection between the wounded woman and the suspect, and how she got shot, is unclear.
