A 13-year-old boy is on crutches and has seven stitches in his leg after he was attacked by a dog. According to officers, three dogs escaped a neighbor's backyard and began terrorizing the neighborhood. The boy was walking to the school bus when he was attacked.

Authorities are looking for a man who opened fire on a deputy constable after a high speed chase. Fortunately, the deputy was not hit.

The University of Houston athletics department is asking Houstonians to help them fill the H-Town Takeover Trailer with donations and supplies for victims of Hurricane Florence. They will resume collecting donations Tuesday morning.

A one-year-old is in fair condition after being hit by a car. According to authorities, the child's mother was readjusting the car seat when the little boy wandered behind her vehicle. Investigators say another driver was backing up, and hit the child.

Mosquito relief is underway after a break in the rain. Galveston County Mosquito Control has been out in force, and will continue to spray through the week.
